I just found out about Todd's death today (4/1/06) after reading the West Chester Alumni magazine. I'm in total shock.
Todd was a wonderful person. He was so sensitive and cared so much about other people. We met at West Chester and when I went for my masters degree for social work in Philadelphia and subsequently lived there for 6 years; I would often run into Todd on the street or at a social work conference. I encouraged him to get his masters. He was a gifted social worker who truly wanted to help those in need.
I send my condolences to his family, his close friends and to anyone who knew him. He was special. I hope he knew that.

I'm still in shock. It has been over a week and I still feel like it isn't true. I'm sorry that we haven't spoken much over the past few months and I regret that when we ran into each other on the street 2 or 3 weeks a go that we didn't stop and talk longer. I wish I could have been there more for you. It comforts me to know that so many people love you so much. I hope that I will be able to stay in touch with Jen and wish that I had gotten to know Kelle, who obviously loves you so much. Brian is a great guy too, I hope Brian will call me if he ever needs to talk or even just to hang out.
I'll never forget your neighbors Halloween party last year and how you forgot to mention to me and Jen D. that it wasn't going to be a costume party anymore! Or the frustration on your face when you were trying to explain the plot of Desperate Housewives to me mid-way through the first season! I loved your sarcasm and your smile. I hope that you are at peace. I miss you a lot.

I have been sitting here the last few days racking my mind for something to say to you. I met you a year or so ago through a friend, we hit it off altough we were unable to spend much time together. Whenever we passed eachother you were always friendly and we talked as if we knew eachother for years. These past few days have been difficult for me because I know who you are but nothing about you. I was unable to make your service, but spoke with the friend that introduced us to eachother, she said " Just keep him in your heart". As corny as this may be, I want to dedicate the song "True Colors" to you, and to your family and friends, it makes me feel like your right here with us all, watching and praying. I had the privilege of being Todd's 8th grade buddy when he was in kindergarten at St. Gabe's. I went through school with his brother Timmy and their older brother Tommy. Todd was a great kid- very kind, and up beat. While I didn't stay in touch with him throughout his entire life - I have good memories of him. I am truly saddended at the news of his death.
